The highest resolution from a

Re2Flex allows users to adjust resolutions in single pixel increments, providing maximum flexibility for all hardware and software configurations. This capability enables Wicked3D owners to run their favorite games at resolutions never before supported. For example, a Glide game that only supports 640x480 or 800x600 can now run at 1024x1024 on a Too2 Wicked configuration (Wicked3D SLI-mode). Additionally, Re2Flex allows for micro-adjustment of refresh rates by 1 Hz granularity. Re2Flex supported refresh rates range from 56Hz to 160Hz depending on the user's monitor. Stereoscopic Support WickedVision is a complete solution for stereoscopic vision that consists of four components:
The Wicked3D featuring Voodoo2 supports a full 3D feature-set including alpha-blending, fogging, bi-linear and tri-linear filtering, and Z-buffer. Its two Texelfx2 processors allow for single pass, dual textures per pixel providing for more realistic images. Game support is unsurpassed with full Direct3D, Glide and OpenGL game compatibility. |

Eyewear System: After a session or two with the system, we have this to offer as far as a testimonial to the 3D prowess of the kit: The long castle hallways in Unreal seem more eerie than ever before. The onrush of a small aerial bridge that requires perfect driving technique to navigate never seemed so life threatening. The size of the final boss in Quake 2 never seemed so impressive in bulk, or nearly as scary as the first time you saw him. Sharky Extreme (September 1998) 6 Drool drops out of 5!! ...a Wicked3d exclusive is the ability to do 1024x672 with one card, or 1024x1024 with two cards in SLI. This feature alone should send the other manufactures bowing before Metabyte, and chanting "Were not Worthy!, Were not Worthy!" ...Kick-Ass drivers, and the only Voodoo2 out there with native H3D support. [and using the H3D] "WOW!" We here at Gamers Depot, were floored as we saw games like Quake2 literally jump out of the monitor at us! ...we must give it a 6 Drool-Drop award, which is over the 5 drop limit! Need I say anymore? On Wicked3D/H3D Eyewear System: Gamers Depot (September 1998) PCME Rating : 94% ...an excellent performer, right up there with the Pure3D II from Canopus. Actually this board running at 95MHz is just as fast as the Pure3D II at 100Mhz in Direct 3D titles! ...they could be the next Canopus of the 3D-accelerator market. There's no denying the Wicked 3D is a unique product that stands out ahead of the majority of the competition's Voodoo 2-driven products...support for Quake and Quake II on other Voodoo 2 boards is pretty cool, but pairing up a Wicked 3D with these glasses is even more impressive. On Wicked3D/H3D Eyewear System: PCME (August 1998) The Wicked3D is the fastest 3D accelerator card I have ever tested. ...recommend the Wicked3D as an Excellent Value. All About Games (August 1998) I personally love the Wicked 3D and liked it so much I bought the board instead of sending it back to Metabyte. The Wicked 3D will have a place in my system for a long time to come and I'm looking forward to the next great innovations they come up with! So what are you waiting for? GET THE WICKED 3D NOW!!! Gen3D (July 1998) Overall Impression: 9/10 ...by the end of the benchmarking and some extended gamingsessions, I was a big fan of the Wicked 3D. Instead of cooling fans and TV-out, the Wicked 3D gives faster D3Dperformance and H3D glasses support. If you want to be on the leading edge of Voodoo2 driverdevelopment, and can live without some of the extras like TV-out, then the Wicked3D is the perfect Voodoo2 card for you. Hardgame |
